Opinion
This is a strong card if your quarterly category spend is $2,500 or less, and it’s even better with Preferred Rewards enrollment (which increases the 3% cash back to 3.75% – 5.25%). However, it’s very bad for purchases made at grocery stores and wholesale clubs, which takes away from the 3% cash back earning limit. There’s a lot of overlap between this card and cards like the Citi Custom Cash and U.S. Bank Cash+, so for people who aren’t enrolled in Preferred Rewards, the Customized Cash Rewards mainly stands out with its online shopping category.
